Nancy Chiesa, R.N.

Nancy Chiesa is the pediatric electrophysiology (EP) nurse at UCSF Children’s Hospital. She has been a practicing RN since 1973, and has been employed at UCSF since 1976. She has extensive experience in adult and pediatric intensive care, adult cardiology, adult cardiac electrophysiology and pacing, and pediatric electrophysiology and pacing.


Nancy Chiesa’s involvement with cardiac arrhythmias and electophysiology dates back to the pioneering days of radiofrequency ablations in the early 1980’s and, presently, extends to all aspects of the Pediatric Arrhythmia Center at UCSF. She participates in the initial family contact, assists with procedures in the EP lab, in post-procedure care, and with clinic visits. Additionally, she is involved in clinical research studies, and the evaluation of new technologies in this exciting field.
